New Delhi — The U.S. Embassy in India today inaugurated its Hindi website. Chairperson of Prasar Bharati Mrinal Pande was Chief Guest at the event, which featured remarks by U.S. Ambassador Nancy J. Powell and interactive displays highlighting the Embassy’s Hindi website and the Span Hindi Magazine web portal (http://span.state.gov/hi).
The launch of the U.S. Embassy’s website in Hindi is “another step forward towards linking us even deeper to India’s cultural heritage,” said Ambassador Powell. “भारत और अमेरिका का भविष्य उज्ज्वल है,” she added. (“India and the United States have a bright future.”)
“This launch reflects still another way in which the United States is making efforts to deepen connections with the people of India,” noted Walter Douglas, Minister-Counselor for Public Affairs at the U.S. Embassy. The U.S. Mission is on Twitter in Hindi @USAHindiMein.
