For the fifth year in a row, U.S. Consulate General Mumbai will celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, which takes place every March in the United States, through a photography contest. The theme of this year’s contest, “Make It Happen,” underscores the shared commitment of the United States and India to the empowerment of women and girls. It celebrates accomplished, talented women who make history and make it happen! Participants are encouraged to take a photo that highlights Indian women’s achievements and recognizes the important role they play.
The contest is open from February 17 to March 15, 2015, to Indian nationals residing in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Goa. Photos can be submitted via email (MumbaiPublicAffairs@gmail.com), or Twitter using the hashtag #MakeItHappenPics and the U.S. Consulate General Mumbai Twitter handle @USAndMumbai.
Full contest details can be found at www.facebook.com/mumbai.usconsulate/events
