Tonight’s Livestream of Secretary Kerry’s Remarks

About the event:  Secretary of State John Kerry will deliver a speech at a launch event inaugurating the Center for American Progress’ “India: 2020” program at 11:00 p.m. IST on Monday, July 28, at the Center for American Progress (CAP).  The remarks will be streamed live on www.state.gov.  Follow @StateDept, @StateDeptLive, @JohnKerry, and @Amprog for tweets from the event using the hashtag #USIndia2020.  The Secretary will underscore the shared prosperity, democratic values, and security that a strong U.S.-India partnership brings to Asia and to the global order.  He will also emphasize how the United States and India can work in close partnership to improve growth, investment, and opportunity across the Indo-Pacific region by spearheading regional economic connectivity.  “India: 2020” is a new initiative at the Center for American Progress focused on elevating key foreign policy debates in South Asia and developing innovative ideas for further enhancing the global strategic partnership of the world’s oldest and largest democracies.
