Seeking Students for Debate Competition on U.S. & India Constitutions

Chennai, July 9:  The U.S. Consulate General in Chennai is seeking students, ages 18-25 years old, to participate in a debate competition on U.S. and Indian constitutional law to be held across university campuses in Kochi, Bengaluru, Tiruchirappalli, and Chennai between July 26 – September 14, 2019.  Conducted in collaboration with Loyola College, the debate competition will foster a greater understanding for the values and laws enshrined in our two democracies’ respective constitutions.

Participant details:

  • The top prize is a Macbook Pro!  Additional prizes include subscriptions to legal databases and trophies.  All participants will receive certificates.
  • Students must be 18-25 years old.
  • Debate will be in English.
  • Entrance is free.
