February 24, 2016: Day 2 Respects and Learning Ambassador Verma offered his respect at the Maha Bodhi temple. He had a wonderful meeting with His Holiness Ogyen Drodul Trinley Dorje, the 17th Karmapa and also visited the spot where the Buddha attained enlightenment centuries ago. Amb. Verma learned how last year’s TIPConclave4 in Ranchi helped law enforcement officials and civil society come together to combat gender based violence and human trafficking. He met with Yuwa’s young leaders and participated in an exhibition match to see for himself how the soccer program has empowered girls in rural Jharkhand.
