The U.S. Embassy reminds all U.S. citizens traveling and residing in India of Indian customs restrictions that prohibit the import and possession of satellite phones and ammunition. Some foreign travelers have been arrested and prosecuted for possession of these prohibited items on arrival to or departure from India.
