IVLP Alumna enthralls her audience

Renowned storyteller Dr. V.R. Devika captivated imaginations with her vivid and lively stories of Martin Luther King, Jr and Mahatma Gandhi at the American Library.  60 children ages 3 to 12 participated in the storytelling session.  She highlighted Gandhi’s influence on Martin Luther King, Jr. and how he successfully led the civil rights movement in the U.S.  She also read about the White House to them and talked about her own visit there.  The children enjoyed the session and can’t wait to come back for more programs!
