American Center iHub is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday 
The American Center and iHub are closed on American and Indian Holidays. Please see the Holiday list 

The library is located at American Center, 24, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi 11001.  The nearest Metro Station is Barakhamba (Blue Line), Gate #s 6 & 7.

There is no appointment required to visit the iHub.

Open to anyone 16 years of age or older. Applicant must present appropriate photo identification (e.g. driving license, passport, and identity card) with proof of current residence and requisite membership fee.

Library Membership Processing Fee • Individual: Rs. 400/- for one year Rs. 700/- for two years • Family membership: Rs. 500/- for one year Rs. 1,000/- for two years Fee can be paid in cash only at the iHub. We do not accept checks, credit cards or net banking. Institutional Membership Fees: Rs. 2000/- for one year or Rs. 3000/- for two years (Non-Profit organizations) Rs. 4000/- for one year or Rs. 7000/- for two years (profit organizations).  The Institutional members enjoy the following privileges.  Borrowing and book reservation privileges **Institutional members will be issued five borrower’s cards and up-to 20 books, 10 DVDs and 10 back issues of journals can be checked out on these cards.

Any ACND patron is free to visit the iHub and utilize resources which are onsite.  Only iHub members are authorized to check out materials and take full advantage of all iHub and ACND resources.

Membership processing fees can only be paid with cash.

Members are entitled to borrow six books for four weeks, two back issues of periodicals and two DVDs.

The Membership Card is a must for borrowing check out material. The Membership card is non-transferable. A member is responsible for all material borrowed on his/her card.

Loss of membership card or change of address should be reported immediately to avoid any misuse. A duplicate card will be issued on payment of Rs. 25/-.

Members can check out items at the Circulation Desk or through our long-distance borrower facility.  Loan renewals can be requested in person, by phone, email, or web.  In addition, members can request inter library loans from American Libraries in Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai and the membership card can be transferred to Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai Consulates.

Overdue fines: Rs. 1 per day, per book/periodical; Rs. 5 per day, per DVD after the due date.  Repeated late return of books may result in loss of borrowing privileges.

Lost or damaged books must be paid for at replacement cost or as determined by the American Center iHub staff.

 You can check the library catalog, login to your library account online at (https://americanspacesindia.on.worldcat.org/v2), renew your books and reserve titles online.  eLibraryUSA can now be accessed in the library only.

Membership can be transferred to any one of the three other American Libraries in Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai Consulates.

Yes.  Patrons are allowed to bring their own devices to ACND.  Only those patrons who are iHub members will have access to free Wi-Fi through ACND’s Wi-Fi token system.  At no time should patrons attempt to connect their personal devices to Department of State or other United States Government-only networks.

 #EducationUSA conducts sessions on U.S. higher education at American Center New Delhi on Wednesdays at 3 pm.  These sessions are free and open to all!  Entry requirements are the same as for visiting ACND during normal operating hours.
