AFCP – Revival of Medhi Talao ensemble at UNESCO World Heritage site at Champaner- Pavagadh, Gujarat

The AFCP grant helped in the documentation and preservation of this important Hindu pilgrimage site in western India. As a testament to its importance, Champaner-Pavagadh was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004. (next two photos)

AFCP - Restoration of the YMCA’s student branch at Lamington Road, Mumbai  

This AFCP grant helped in preserving the cultural heritage of a neo-classical and neo-Palladian building built in 1910.  The YMCA student branch provides public space, open to youth and underserved population of Mumbai’s urban population. This restoration project received a UNESCO Award of Merit in 2009.
