2023 EducationUSA University Fair in Chennai

Chennai, August 25: Students and parents interested in learning about opportunities to pursue higher education in the United States are invited to participate in an in-person fair with U.S. university representatives.    

EducationUSA at the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), Chennai, in collaboration with the U.S. Consulate General Chennai, will host a university fair from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Hotel Hyatt Regency in Chennai.  This fair will provide an opportunity for students and their parents to meet with representatives of 29 accredited universities and colleges from different parts of the United States.  The fair is open to students seeking bachelor’s, master’s, and/or PhD programs in the United States.  There is no participation fee, but registration is required.

(Students are encouraged to register early to avoid long lines on the day of the fair. Information sessions will begin at 1.15 p.m. and run parallel to the fair.)   

American higher education institutions participating in the fair represent a diverse geographical and academic landscape and offer a range of academic programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.  Fair attendees can learn about various programs and admission criteria for multiple U.S. higher education institutions.  Discussions with U.S. universities, EducationUSA advisers, and U.S. Consulate representatives at the fair will help students make informed choices about U.S. higher education, learn about the U.S. student visa application process, and become aware of other aspects of studying and living in the U.S.

These in-person fairs are taking place across eight cities in India – Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru – from August 26, 2023, to September 3, 2023.
